Is Rainsoft worth the money ?

I like this site-it looks much less biased than the others I've been looking at. I have a question about Rainsoft. Is Rainsoft worth the money ? I went to Home Depot today and met one of their salesmen who was nice but a little pushy. He quoted me $4K for a system and tried to sell me on the credit union easy monthly payments, but that is a lot more money than I can get one from my local plumber (Ben Franklin Plumbing). He told me about there exclusive technologies and customer service but when I look at the web reviews I get mixed messages. What do you experts think of Rainsoft are they worth the extra money?

Rainsoft makes a good softener and they're a good company to deal with.

Ben Franklin also carries good brands of softeners in a lot of markets.

Its worth the money and it is verry rare ... buy it if you can
