Kinetico is not salt free!!!!

They use potassium chloride. Potassium chloride is a salt!!!

If they're lying about that, what else are they lying about????????

The term salt-free can be very nebuous. Many market it as a term to attract a new group of prospects that are looking for an 'alternative' water treatment system.

As mentioned before, some many be referring to a potassium chloride instead of sodium chloride systems but it is still a 'salt'.

Other use Physical Water Systems (PWS) that may use a wide variety of so-called advanced technologies such electric wire-wraps, magnets, sonic vibrations, eye of nwet, etc., which I would recommend buying at a full risk of experimental in bogus marketing.

There are media filtration systems that use what are termed as anti-scale systems that supposedly alter the water chemistry that is to prevent the calcium from laying deposits on the lining of plumbing and fixtures. These should be termed 'conditioners' and not 'softeners' by any means. Still, a very questionable technology.

The best thing to do is let them explain to what it is exactly they are referring to and then do your research.
