Hey, Greg I need to talk to you more about this, A customer that I put a Patriot Jr. on, the Iron was about 5ppm, jumped to 22 to 24 !! I think it has been because of lack of rain. The customer did say it does vary. I had no idea it would jump that high. This was about 2 weeks ago it may have gone back down. but I wonder how well this would work with the Patriot Jr.

Hi Greg

The Water DOG is a truly remarkable product. I've been learning more and more about it lately. We'll have an in-field demonstration it available for dealers shortly so that you can actually test/demonstrate the the technology live on site to confirm the efficacy of the device.

As with any strong oxidation technology, the water DOG will cause precipitation. Te precipitate should be removed through a self-backwashing media filter.

The Patriot backwashes quite vigorously, but I think you'd be better to install a self-backwashing filter with NextSand or similar media between the Water DOG and the Patriot.

Do you see much iron and hydrogen sulfide in the water around the greater Houston area ?
Which areas have this kind of rusty/stinky water in East Texas ?

Is Water DOG still in business? - I heard that they went broke, is it true?

Unfortunately the fine folks at Water DOG are another casualty of the "great recession". They are no longer shipping new systems and have all but closed their doors. I have some very good friends who worked there and wish them luck.
